The X2 Digital Wireless Systems
Reports Eminence Bass maker Gary:
"My good friend, Mark Anderson – full-time bassist with Monroe Crossing – turned me onto this really cool little device. He called this past spring all excited about his new X2 Digital Wireless system, claiming that since he's had it, it has worked 100%, and that it actually makes his Eminence bass sound better than using a patch cord."
"At first I must admit I was skeptical, but that only lasted until I heard the X2 on the Eminence myself. The sound was crystal clear, with the leading edge of every note clear and dynamic. Because the X2 is a digital wireless system, it has much greater dynamics than analog wireless systems. And it really did sound better than using a patch cord, because the cord – from pickup to wireless transmitter – is very short. That's as opposed to a patch cord which is typically 10' or longer, where the cord acts like a high frequency filter due to its capacitance and the very high impedance signal being pasted through it."
"Mark also finds it extremely useful for checking the front-of-house sound while his band is doing the mic check. He can easily take his Eminence bass – with X2 wireless system – out in front of the main speakers to check the house sound while he's playing! "
"So I recently called him to see how things were going with the X2 now that he's played some 70 gigs with it, and he reports perfect operation. He also told me that while jamming at a festival this past summer, the receiver was accidentally left in a bucket over night. When he found it the next morning it was entirely submerged in water… yes, it had rained. He dried it out, put in a new battery, and it has been working ever since!
"The X2 Digital Wireless system also works great for big basses, or any musical instrument that has a pickup. And our prices are the cheapest you will find ANYWHERE!"
